Infant health and wellbeing

(Ages 0 - 2)

We know an infant’s wellbeing is of utmost importance for new parents. It can be difficult to determine what may be a runny nose and what may be a more serious health concern.

Our providers are here to ensure the best care for your newborn, and there are no silly questions. During initial consultations we will assess your child, their history, your concerns to provide clear guidance.

  • At Central Victorian Child Health, we assess:

  • Rashes and birth marks

  • GP-recommended paediatric reviews

  • Neonatal jaundice

  • Developmental concerns

  • Growth or weight concerns

  • Excessive crying or unsettled behaviour

  • Follow-up of neonatal complications

Paediatric medical problems

Ages (3 - 18)

Our paediatric team specialises in non-emergent conditions that negatively impact your child’s quality of life. Appointments focus on understanding your child’s symptoms and history to develop a plan moving forward.

Behavioural and developmental issues

(0 - 18)

Are you concerned your child may have difficulty with learning, relationships and/or daily activities? These concerns can emerge gradually over time and may be noticed at home, in childcare or at school.

If you are worried your child may have behavioural difficulties, discussing with a professional is the next best step. Our paediatric team will provide an assessment of your child and guidance on what to do next.

If your child needs a prescription, we know if can be difficult to make it to your regular GP each time. At Central Victorian Child Health, our providers offer a convenient way to receive your child’s prescription through eScripts.

Sent straight to your mobile device or email, simply take the script with a QR code to your local pharmacy to receive your medication.

All eScripts are supplied in accordance with the Australian Government’s electronic prescribing system. 

Please note your child must have a valid referral to a Paediatrician with our practice. Additionally, an appointment is required which can be done by telehealth or face to face, with the patient present, to organise the script.
